Yangtze River Delta consists of some of the regions of the Jiangsu and Zhejang provinces and the city of Shanghai, while Shanghai is one of the largest and fastest growing economies in China. The Delta covers approximately 50,000 square kilometers and it has been publicly recognized as the sixth largest metropolitan grouping after the five top grouping with the core of New York, Chicago & Toronto, Tokyo, Paris and Amsterdam, London & Manchester.
Changzhou, which is in the interior of Yangtze River Delta, is 150 kilometers from Shanghai and Nanjing and has significant location economically and strategically.
Changzhou covers 4375 square kilometers. There are 60,000 private enterprises in Changzhou, of which half are manufacturing based. Changzhou is in deed a manufacturing center enjoying a very strong economy. At present, Changzhou has a well developed, traditional industrial foundation of agricultural and engineering machinery, vehicle accessories manufacturing, power transformer equipment manufacturing and new textile material production.
